The Foundation board meets regularly at 5:30 PM on the first Thursday of each month.
Join wildflower enthusiasts Kathy Bilton and Laurie Potteiger for a slow-paced 2-mile hike in Woodpecker Woods to view increasingly rare wildflowers and other native plants re-awakening in the spring. We’ll also discuss non-native invasive plants we see. In places trails are rugged, narrow, and steep and after rain may be muddy. Hiking shoes and water bottle are recommended. Some may find hiking poles helpful. Bring a lunch or snacks. Sorry, no pets. Rain date is April 10 11:00 – 1:30 pm. The event is free and sponsored by the Ecology Committee of the Trail & Town Alliance of Harpers Ferry-Bolivar / Harpers Ferry-Bolivar Historic Town Foundation.
