The Near Term
We have now completed the exterior work funded by the National Trust grant. We are currently applying for grants and donations to cover the following projects:
- Pour new concrete floor after installing below-grade plumbing supply and drain lines
- Frame-in bathrooms, catering kitchen, storage areas; frame-in and insulate basement walls
- Install drywall in the basement
- Construct new interior staircase from basement to main floor
- Electrify the original large chandelier and reinstall it with a hoist; reinstall original wall sconces; add related electrical wiring.
If funded, these projects will move us toward completing our Stage 2 project goals:
- Basement is ready as a meeting room with public restrooms and catering kitchen.
- The Foundation can host public events on the grounds.
We estimate that this stage will cost approximately $150,000.
